Benálmadena Pueblo a jewel of a village only ten minutes from the hectic resorts of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmadena with its superb beaches and night life.
The Pueblo is one of the unique White Villages of Andalusia and is a delight with traditional cobbled streets, white painted homes each with masses of flower boxes giving warmth and colour and, interspersed with the homes, atmospheric bars and bistros plus several five star restaurants. Benalmadena Pueblo is small and compact with the heart of the village being traffic free, beautiful squares with fountains and a centuries old church on a peninsular that overlooks the whole of the Costa del Sol coastline.
The village is home to one of Spain’s top catering schools where only the best chefs and restaurant staff are trained. Those in the know can reserve a table for lunch at the catering school; places are in demand so reservations must be made well in advance but those lucky enough to get a booking will have a meal second to none and service to be remembered plus it is all subsidised.
Though the Pueblo has kept is character it still provides all the modern requirements, UK papers are available same day, the supermarkets stock everything plus visitors are only ten minutes away from the hectic coastal resorts yet can return to the peace and pleasure of one of the Costa del Sol’s best kept villages and finish their evenings in one of the delightful bistros or restaurants or merely take a night-cap on the terrace of a bar or sitting by the fountain in the old square.
